Hi! My Name Is Roberto, And I'm A Kid With ADHD Born And Raised In A Time When ADHD Wasn't A Thing.
As A Result, I Spent Most Of My Childhood And Teenage Years Being Told That I'm Lazy, Unmotivated, That I'm Very Clever But Never Put The Work In, That I Should Just Develop A Little Willpower, That I Should Know And Should Do Much Better Than This, That I'm Squandering All My Talent...
Over Time I Started To Learn How To Manage And Work Around These Issues, And Eventually Become Very Successfully Both Professionally, As A Software Developer And As An Entrepreneur, And Personally, In My Relationships, Hobbies, Sports, And Social Life.
I'm Grateful And Proud To Be The Person I've Grown Up To Be.

But All The Negativity I've Been Subjected To As A Young Man, Left Me With A Lot Of "Emotional Baggage".
It Was Actually During An Anxiety Therapy Session That Something Clicked. We Were Discussing My Procrastination, And How Despite That I Always Manage To Meet My Targets, When The Therapist Said:
"Well, It Sounds To Me Like You Are Actually More Efficient Than Most People". "So... I'd Be A Sort Of An Efficiency Expert, Not A Procrastinator?", I Asked. "Yes! You Should Actually Put That On A Tshirt: I'm An Efficiency Expert, Ask Me How!" He Replied.
That's How The Concept For This Community Came About! I Was Fascinated By The Idea That You Can Actually Reframe A Negative Trait Into A Very Positive One. Change Your Perception, Your Point Of View, So That It Lifts You Up, Rather Than Weighting You Down.
And Just To Be Clear And Very Honest, That Doesn't Solve The Practical Issue You Are Having. But By Spinning It Around And Keeping It Positive, You Are Far More Likely To Keep Working On It, Keep Improving And Eventually Mastering It.
With The Added Bonus Of Feeling Great, Instead Of Crap All The Time!
